Cylinder Seed Grader IC-L
|
|
Salient Features
All steel construction with
frame of steel channel in one section welded
structure. Feeding hopper is provided with a
vibratory feeder to regulate the feding rate
into the Cylinder. Interchangeable type indented
segments for grading various crop seeds. The
machine is pre-wired from the motor to the
starter to a single connection for the incoming
power supply.
Operation
The material enters the machine
through the feeding device directly into the
centre of the rotating cylinder. The shorter
than required size particles lodge in the
indents and are lifted by the cylinder until
they fall out under gravitational force into the
internal trough. Large particles not deposited
in the indents are retained on the inside
surface of the cylinder. Due to rotating speed
and inclination of cylinder, long grains are
discharged out and rejects comprising of cut
grains, small round grains and other crop seeds
etc. are discharged out seperately via auger or
vibrating device fitted with trough.

SEED TREATER MODEL(S)
Universal Seed Treaters
|
|
Disinfection is one of the most
important measures for the Protection of seeds
against attacks by fungi pests etc. Fungicides
and pesticides are available in Powder or Liquid
form. Agrosaw Universal seed treaters enable
these chemicals whether dry or liquid or slurry
form to be applied on the seeds in exactly
required doses with the help of latest
techniques. The quantity of each seed dose to
which chemical is applied is also pre determined
and drops through a highly sensitive weigh pan.
Each time the weigh pan trips, seed flows into
the retarding hopper and then to blending
chamber. At the same time a metered quantity of
chemical either in Powder, wet or slurry form is
delivered to the seed. Wet chemical is applied
to the seed in MIST FORM with the help of
specially developed high pressure pump, which
works on the principle of electromotive force.
Dosing quantity and frequency of dosing os
chemicals can be varied by simply turning
respective knobs, seed treatment is carried out
efficiently and effectively by tumbling action
in a slow rotating blending drum (chamber), thus
eliminating the use of auger or screw conveyor
which may damage the seeds. Parts coming in
contact with chemicals are made of stainless
steel. To prevent the toxic fumes from polluting
the air in the workroom, the bagging compartment
is provided with a ventilating fan.

Operation
ST-2-RD seed treters use the
weight of seed to operate the seed and slurry
measuring system. The amount of seed measured is
controlled by placement of a counter weight
while the amount of slurry measured at each trip
of the weighpan is determined by the size of the
cups used in the metering pan. Each time the
weighpan trips, seed flows to the slow rotating
cylinder. At the same time slurry is delivered
on the top of the seed slurry and seed are then
thoroughly mixed in the cylinder and finally
treated seed is discharged from the cylinder
through 2 way discharge spout. The seed dressing
is pumped with the help of vertically
submersible pump into the chemical metering pan
and fed continuously through dosing cups which
are easily interchangeable for variable dosing.

Discharge Height
Upto 6 meters Damage to the
seeds/grains occur mostly at the discharge point
in centrifugal type Vertical bucket elevators.
Some seeds also get crushed/ damaged at various
points. Damage to the seeds/grains can be
avoided by using inclined flight belt conveyors
because built in flights/cleats with side walls
carry the seeds and discharge them very slowly
without impact.
Inclined flight belt conveyors
are available upto 15 TPH capacity (wheat basis)
and upto 6 meters discharge height to match with
the machines.
Flights/cleats, side wall and
conveyor belt come in PVC/PU/Nylon Food grade
material. Hence, flight belt conveyors are
specially recommended for delicate seed/grains.
Depending upon the requirement of the customer,
flights made of high aluminium and without side
wall can also be supplied.
Inclination angle can be made
variable or fixed depending upon application or
as per requirement of the customer.
Cleaning of conveyor for inter
crop and varietal change or for simply cleaning
purpose takes few seconds only.
Whole conveyor can be mounted
on high quality heavy duty rubber wheels and
castors for movement or can be made static as
per requirement.
Drive is with geared motor with
chain and sprocket. Complete with supporting
structure and other standard features.
Where height of the building is
a constraint for feeding the machine, inclined
belt conveyor is the best solution.
Physical impurities are visible
during process.
Good for application where
scooping of seeds/grains is not possible.
